For years, Vince Gill has been known for his award-winning songwriting, world-class guitar playing and top-notch voice—not to mention his quick and easy wit. In 1990, Gill’s big breakthrough, “When I Call Your Name,” won both the Country Music Association’s Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy. And the hit songs kept coming year after year, from “I Still Believe In You,” “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” Pretty Little Adriana” to “If You Ever Have Forever On Your Mind.” A versatile songwriter, his compositions earned him a place in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.
Gill was a frontman for the renowned country-rock band Pure Prairie League as well as a member of the Grammy-winning band The Time Jumpers. He has also used his studio talents to produce albums for LeAnn Rimes, Amy Grant and Ashley Monroe, while making appearances on more than 1,000 albums, working with Barbra Streisand, Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, George Jones and other musical superstars.
In 2017, Gill was invited to join the Eagles for an extended tour, to perform the lead vocals once sung by the late Glenn Frey. And Gill’s latest album, “Down To My Last Bad Habit,” was released to rave reviews. Don’t miss this Entertainer of the Year in the event of a lifetime. It’s Vince Gill at WinStar’s Global Event Center on August 16.
