Free Walking Tour of McKinney’s Historic Square – Tuesday, Sept. 10 @ 9:30 a.m.

The City of McKinney is offering another of our continuing series of FREE weekday walking tours around the city’s beautiful historic downtown square.

Your guide, McKinney’s Historic Preservation Officer Guy Giersch, knows the square better than just about anyone else and is a wealth of interesting information about life in McKinney in its early days and how the square has changed over the years.

All tours will begin at the Visitors Center, 200 W. Virginia. In conjunction with these tours, Mr. Giersch will feature the McKinney GIS (Geographic Information System) Department’s new digital maps that serve as perfect tools for folks wishing to explore our historic district on their own anytime or to revisit the steps from their tour with Mr. Giersch.

These tours are free, and bottled water and snacks are being provided by our friends at Costco McKinney. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
