Join us at Craft Pies in Pottsboro for a pizza party to raise money for our school. Please invite anyone who likes pizza or that would be interested in supporting our emerging school, the more the merrier and the more funds we can raise. Be sure to tell them that you are here for EC Stanton when you pay for your pizza. We will have a donation jar next to the check out and the students will be there serving tables to benefit their school.
EC Stanton is a non-profit private school based on the Sudbury education model where students and teachers form a democracy to govern the school and explore different learning opportunities, thus enabling the students to uncover and cultivate their passions in life. Originating in Fort Worth, EC Stanton has recently opened a school in the Texoma area making it the first of its kind in the region. We now have around 20 students and have spent our first semester by the good grace of Leap of Faith Church that allowed us a space to hold classes and test the market for such a school in this area. We are eager to have a building we can call our own and are currently awaiting approval from the city of Sherman to move into the location we have chosen. As the school grows and funding allows, we will be adding different elements of a makers space so the students can explore and cultivate whatever skills their hearts desire, a robotics lab and art studio are high on their list. Please come out to share some pizza with us and help us to realize the dreams of our students. We greatly appreciate all of your support!!
