The first week in June is National CPR and AED awareness! To help people feel more comfortable in an emergency, the Parks and Recreation is offering free hands only CPR classes. Classes will be available throughout the week at different times. These classes are intended to give the layperson or bystander enough tools to be able to act and help in an emergency. CPR is a useful tool for everyone to know, and The American Red Cross has made it very simple by introducing a hands only component, meaning, you are not required to give ventilation in an emergency. The classes are free, however, you must pre-register and the class size is limited.
