DESCRIPTION:The Sherman Museum is excited to announce that it will be conducting its annual Dino Academy children’s workshop series on June 26th\, 27th\, and 28th. The workshops are designed to complement the museum’s annual DINO DAYS exhibition. This year’s curriculum program will focus on the connection between Dinosaurs and Meteorites. June 26th and 27th classes are for ages 4-6. Students can choose to participate in either the 9:30AM-12:00PM course on both days\, the 1:00PM-3:30PM course on both days\, or switch it up depending on their personal summer schedules. Snacks will be provided\, and at least one parent must attend with their student(s). The June 28th class is for ages 7-11 and runs from 10AM-3:30PM. Students must bring their sack lunch\, and parents are not required to attend with their student(s). All students will receive a colorful Dino Academy T-shirt and an Academy diploma upon completion of the program. \nProgram activities include: \n\nInteractive guided tours of the current Dinosaurs & Meteorites: A Flash from the Past exhibition\nPresentations teaching students about the Dinosaurs\, Meteorites\, and the connection between them\nArts and Crafts sessions\n\nThe cost of the workshop is $40 per child. For his birthday\, Roy’s freinds give him a saddle and some very specific instructions: 1. Find a horse. 2. Enjoy the ride! But there’s a problem; Roy doesn’t know what a horse IS! So he sets off to find out with hilarious results: A snake tells him to look for a creature with legs. A crab has six legs\, but he’s too unfriendly to be a horse. A chameleon smiles at Roy\, but horses don’t change color… What’s a horseless cowboy to do? \nFollowing story time we’ll paint a horse! DESCRIPTION:The Sherman Museum is excited to announce that it will be conducting its annual Dino Academy children’s workshop series on June 26th\, 27th\, and 28th. The workshops are designed to complement the museum’s annual DINO DAYS exhibition. This year’s curriculum program will focus on the connection between Dinosaurs and Meteorites. June 26th and 27th classes are for ages 4-6. Students can choose to participate in either the 9:30AM-12:00PM course on both days\, the 1:00PM-3:30PM course on both days\, or switch it up depending on their personal summer schedules. Snacks will be provided\, and at least one parent must attend with their student(s). The June 28th class is for ages 7-11 and runs from 10AM-3:30PM. Students must bring their sack lunch\, and parents are not required to attend with their student(s). All students will receive a colorful Dino Academy T-shirt and an Academy diploma upon completion of the program. \nProgram activities include: \n\nInteractive guided tours of the current Dinosaurs & Meteorites: A Flash from the Past exhibition\nPresentations teaching students about the Dinosaurs\, Meteorites\, and the connection between them\nArts and Crafts sessions\n\nThe cost of the workshop is $40 per child. It is a wonderful evening of celebration for our town and our country\, complete with Live Music\, a Charity Softball game\, Car Show\, 3 Kid Zones\, Food\, the Posting of the Flags\, Games and Fireworks set to music! Attendance in 2018 topped over 12\,000 people! \nPride in the Sky is held at Frontier Park\, which is located at 1551 W. Frontier Parkway in Prosper\, Texas. We partner with the Town of Prosper to utilize the entire park facility\, including the ball fields\, pavilions and parking lots. We set up 3 HUGE Kid Zones with inflatables\, rides\, water slides and games throughout the park. There will also be live music at the Main Stage and the best car show ever hosted in Prosper! We are working and planning now to ensure that the 2019 Pride in the Sky event is the best display of patriotism in all of North Dallas!
