DESCRIPTION:The new skatepark has gotten a lot of interest lately\, but that also means some kids are out there skating and need help! The free skateboarding clinics are for the beginner and novice skaters that are ready to learn and get some skills. Kids will be taught by some local skateboarders that want to see the next generation of skateboarders develop. The clinics will focus on the basics of skateboarding including skatepark etiquette. Clinics  are free for all. Helmet and pads are encouraged. Limited boards and pads provided by Schlaudie Skate Co. will be available for use\, but it is recommended to bring your own.

DESCRIPTION:Introduction:\nIn this Black Rocket classic\, you will go well beyond the limitations of the traditional 2D game design classes and create an immersive 3D world. Students will learn the physics behind 3D games\, explore beginner event scripting\, level design\, controlling the flow of gameplay\, and storytelling. Student created games will be available on a password protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. \nDates & Times\n\nMonday\, July 22 – Thursday\, July 25\, 2019\n1:00 pm – 4:00 pm\n\nLocation\n\nCenter for Workplace Learning (CWL) Building\n\nCost\n\n$120\nIncludes a camp t-shirt and snacks each day.\n\n  \n THE FINE PRINT\n\nRegistration is on a first come\, first served basis. The five levels include:\nLevel 1 – Introduction to Water Skills – Age: 4+\nFor the beginner who is comfortable in the water.\nSwimmers learn basics of swimming: bobbing\, going under water\, supported front and back floating\, supported rolling over from front to back and back to front\, supported gliding \, supported flutter kick\, supported front crawl arms and jumping in. \nLevel 2 – Fundamental Aquatic Skills – Age: 4-5+\nSwimmers should already be able to float on front and back and put head under water.\nSwimmers will work on: independent front and back floating \, independent rolling over from front to back and back to front\, independent front and back glides\, front crawl arms and kicks\, back crawl arms and kicks\, retrieving underwater objects\, and jumping into water over their head. \nLevel 3 – Stroke Development – Age: 5-6+\nSwimmers should already be comfortable swimming front stroke and swimming on their back.\nSwimmers will work on: gliding\, freestyle with side breathing\, backstroke\, breast stroke and dolphin kicks\, retrieving objects in deeper water\, treading water\, jumping into deep water and compact dives. \nLevel 4 – Stroke Improvement – Age: 7+\nSwimmers should already be able to: swim front and back crawl 25 yards.\nSwimmers will work on: rotary breathing\, freestyle\, backstroke\, elementary backstroke\, scissors kick and sidestroke\, whip kick and breaststroke\, intro to turning at wall\, treading water with modified scissors\, and diving in kneeling position. \nLevel 5 – Stroke Refinement – Age: 8+\nSwimmers should already be able to: swim freestyle\, breaststroke and backstroke 25 yards\, scissors kick\, whip kick\, treading water\, and dive.\nSwimmers will work on: alternate breathing\, stride jump\, refinement of: freestyle\, backstroke\, elementary backstroke\, sidestroke\, breaststroke\, dolphin kick and butterfly\, open turn on front and back\, feet-first surface dive\, and treading water. \n\n Note: \nClasses will be $50/$55 per child\, payable at registration\nIn case of severe weather\, Waterloo Pool will be cleared and classes may be suspended\nPlease call us in event of bad weather 903-464-4475\, due to time constraints we are often not able to reach all participants.\nEveryone must wear a bathing suit to enter the water and shower off before class per health dept regulations.\nNo Glass Containers allowed inside facility\nPlease tie back any long hair so that it is out of their face for lessons.\nFor health and safety reasons please do not bring your child to lessons if they have had a fever or diarrhea within 24 hours\nIf a student becomes disruptive they will be asked to sit out\, if the problem continues they will be asked to leave the class and enroll in private lessons at guardian’s expense.\nCancellation made less than 5 days prior to the start of class will result in loss of all fees.\nClasses must have a minimum of 5 participants registered or they will be rescheduled. \nMonday – Thursday \n7/8/19 – 7/18/19 Register \n7/22/19 – 8/1/19 Register
