DESCRIPTION:Fish with a Ranger is open to beginners wanting to learn how to fish and to those seasoned veterans hoping to catch the big one! Start the day off by taking a few quick practice casts and then grab a rod and reel\, some bait\, and hit the water! \nWhen: Saturday\, May 18 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.\nWhere: The point adjacent to the ESP lighted fishing pier.\nExpect to: Learn how to bait a hook\, cast your line\, and other fishing basics!\nWhat to Bring: Water\, sunscreen\, and bug spray. Rods and reels and bait will be available\, but feel free to bring your own rig! \nProgram free with paid park admission\, which is $5 per person 13 years of age and older. Please keep in mind that outdoor programs are subject to cancellation due to weather. \nPlease email cody.edwards@tpwd.texas.gov if you plan to attend this event or if you have any additional questions.

DESCRIPTION:Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Rocks Youth Program \nHas your child ever asked questions about endangered species? Friday\, May 17th is National Endangered Species Day. Since our Refuge Rocks program falls on the day after this special day\, we will be taking this opportunity to learn about endangered species and the actions we can take to help protect them. We’ll focus on many endangered species and especially those that make Hagerman NWR home. Come out and help us focus on this special day by making crafts and participating in lots of fun activities. Come join us on May 18 for a free class to recognize this special day with lots of fun!
